Days of Wonder’s latest game Five Tribes “The Djinns of Naqala” is now available to buy.  Days of Wonder are known for great board games including Ticket to Ride Europe which we reviewed here.

Five Tribes

Synopsis

Crossing into the Land of 1001 Nights, your caravan arrives at the fabled Sultanate of Naqala.  The old sultan just died and control of Naqala is up for grabs!  The oracles foretold of strangers who would maneuver the Five Tribes to gain influence over the legendary city-state.  Will you fulfill the prophecy? Invoke the old Djinns, move the Tribes into position at the right time and the Sultanate may become yours!

Five Tribes is designed for Days of Wonder by Bruno Cathala and is a German style game featuring wooden meeples.  However unlike Carcassonne or other classic Meeple games, you start with the meeples already in place on the board and must maneuver them over the villages, markets, oasis and sacred places tiles that make up Naqala.

The meeples make up the Five Tribes of Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers.
